Already since the winter semester 1973/1974, the Chair of Thermodynamics of Mobile Energy Conversion Systems offers the series of event “Engine Technology Seminar”. Experts from the automobile and engine industry held lectures concerning recent issues from engine development as well as interdisciplinary topics. Like this the Engine Technology Seminar especially serves as connection between university research and praxis. Following the presentation, the audience has the opportunity to discuss with the speaker.


The lecture will take place in hybrid format. Participation is possible on site, in the lecture hall building PPS (lecture hall H2), Prof.-Pirlet-Straße 12 or online via Microsoft Teams.

Due to the current situation caused by the Corona pandemic, the current regulations of the RWTH apply for participation on site: Information on dealing with the Corona pandemic (subject to change at short notice)

Wearing a mask is still recommended in the building. In addition, a ban on entering RWTH buildings applies in case of corona symptoms or a confirmed infection. For recommended minimum spacing, the lecture hall should continue to be occupied in a checkerboard pattern, if possible.
