Tailor-made fuels are examined in the high pressure injection chamber. The chamber can be operated with gas pressures of up to 150 bar and temperatures up to 1000 K. Measurements in short intervals of time are possible through constant perfusion. With the help of optical procedures like Mie-Scattering or Schlieren measurement technique, the injection performance can be analyzed.

The chamber is equipped with 3 quartz windows with a diameter of 127 mm. Single injection as well as multiple injections with variable injection amounts are shown. For centered injectors, a spray length of 60 mm can be visualized, for eccentrically mounted injectors a spray length of up to 100 mm is possible.
