Modern electrified drive trains require an adjusted testing environment. The Center for Mobile Propulsion offers a flexible three-dyno transmission test bench.

The input consists of a 251 kW permanent magnetic synchronous motor with a maximum torque of 600 Nm at 4000 rpm.
The maximum speed is 9000 rpm, but up to 18000 rpm is possible via a belt drive. The inertia of 0.078 kg m² of the electric machine allows simulating the cyclic irregularity of a combustion engine.

The two outputs allow the testing of a differential. Each output consists of a 286 kW asynchronous motor with a maximum torque of 3400 Nm at 1515 rpm. The maximum speed is 4080 rpm. Moreover, a control and automation system, a damage detection system and oil & box conditioning is available.

The test bench is fully integrated in the Real Time Network, which offers the possibility of testing in a virtual environment.
